Description |
Rhizome filiform, less than 0.5 mm in diameter, covered in dark brown trichomes to 1.5 mm, some of these branched. Fronds spaced up to 2 cm apart, frond axes not proliferous. Stipe dark green, blackish at base, 2–25 mm long, winged in upper part, with scattered minute clavate hairs. Lamina ovate to linear in outline, 2–14 x 0.8–3 cm, flabellately divided or 2–3-pinnatifid, ultimate segments linear; longitudinal drying folds present; glabrous except for some minute hairs on the veins. Sori terminal on basal acroscopic pinnule lobes, sometimes also on (sub)terminal pinna lobes; indusium tubular, 2–2.5 mm long, 1.5 times as long as wide, winged, mouth bilabiate, usually not spreading; receptacle exserted. |
